The Barrier Towel is made from 100% OEKO-TEX® cotton with a silver-ion treatment bonded into the fibre. Light, cool and close-piled, it is designed to gently press skin dry without dragging, while the antibacterial finish is built to withstand repeated home laundering.
How to use
Cleanse as you normally would.
Press and lift, never drag. Dragging is what moves bacteria around and irritates the barrier you are trying to protect.
Use a fresh side each time, and a fresh towel each day. Wash the set weekly.

Materials and care
Warm machine wash with like colours. Wash weekly, or more often if you are using it twice a day.
No fabric softener. It coats the pile and dulls absorbency.
Tumble low or hang. No high heat, which shortens the life of the treatment.

How is this different from the face towel I already own?
Two things. The cotton is OEKO-TEX® certified and close-piled, so it lifts water without dragging at the skin. And the antibacterial treatment is silver-ion, bonded into the fibre rather than sprayed on the surface (designed to hold through up to 50 washes rather than rinsing out after a few).
How often do I wash it?
Use a fresh towel daily and wash the set weekly. Warm machine wash, no fabric softener, tumble low or hang.
Which colourway should I choose?
Cloud, Blush and Mist are the same towel in three tones. Many people buy three so there is always a clean one in rotation, which is what the 3-pack is for.
Single or 3-pack?
A single is enough to try the practice. The 3-pack is what makes daily rotation possible without doing laundry mid-week.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Silver has been used for its antimicrobial properties in medical applications and textiles for decades, and research has demonstrated its ability to inhibit bacterial growth. Silver-treated textiles have also been studied in skin-contact applications, including for people with sensitive or compromised skin.
The Barrier towel combines this technology with 100% OEKO-TEX® certified cotton. OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 tests textiles for harmful substances, with stricter requirements for products intended for direct skin contact.
For particularly reactive skin, we recommend introducing any new textile gradually.
