Silk or satin: what is the difference?
Silk is a fibre. Satin is a weave, and most satin pillowcases are polyester. This is 100% silk, certified organic, woven at 22 momme.
What does 22 momme mean?
Momme is the unit silk is weighed in, the way thread count is used for cotton. A higher number means a denser weave and a heavier case. 22 is at the heavier end of what is used for bedding.
Is The Restore Case different to my regular silk pillowcase?
Yes! The Restore Case has silver ion technology woven into the fibres, so in addition to the regular benefits of silk, you get an antibacterial effect for up to 50 washes. This is the gold standard of care for your skin and hair health.
How do I wash it?
Cold delicate wash in a mesh bag with a silk-safe detergent. Hang in the shade. Never tumble dry, and never use fabric softener or bleach.
Will it fit my pillow?
It is cut for a standard queen pillow, [TK cm x TK cm]. If your pillow is king or European, this is not the size for it yet.
Will it actually help my skin and hair?
Silk provide less friction and less absorbency than a typical cotton pillowcase. With silk, you'll notice a cool to the touch silky feel, less skincare absorbed overnight and less pulling and creasing while you sleep. This gives your skin and hair the best conditions to restore overnight without added frizz and friction.
